We had a lot of them this year. Erik was out of town the week before Halloween, and the night he got back we had our first event - the ward Halloween party. Eliza had decided that she wanted to be Wendy this year, and Esther wanted to be Tinkerbell. Since they were both from Peter Pan, we decided to go with a theme. Eden was Mr. Smee, Erik was Captain Hook, and I got to be Peter Pan. Off to Neverland!
In retrospect, I totally should have made Erik wear a black wig. It was needed to complete the whole look. As it was, we decided he was a cross between a pirate and a colonial dude.
Nana flew in the same day and came with us to the ward party. She brought a costume, but waited until the actual Trick or Treat to wear it. Wait for it...
Twins.
There were lots of activities at the ward party. Our favorite was the cake walk. Everyone won something.
Sometimes it's hard to remember what number you're on.
Eden liked playing swords with all the balloons.
Having a hook is great in so many ways.
The next day there was a Halloween parade in our neighborhood. Eden was a butterfly because it was too cold to be Mr. Smee. The butterfly was from when Eliza was that age.
Uncle Lenny got home from Kuwait and came up to hang with us! The girls were so excited to see him. He brought them lots of Halloween prized and spoiled them completely rotten.
Mal was off of work that day so she came over too! It's always fun to play with Aunt Mal.
We carved our pumpkins after the parade.
What up Mike Wazowski! (Thanks for the idea Hannah).
On Monday, Eliza had a Halloween parade at her school...

And Monday was the big event. Nana brought out her pirate costume, and I let Mal be Peter Pan.
It was a little cold, but the kids had a great time. The first house we went to gave Mal some candy too. I guess they figured she was a child.
What the??!
We had a great/crazy Halloween. Our costumes definitely got good use!
